Why you joined CADDi

There were several reasons why I decided to join CADDi.
The second reason was the openness and richness of information coming not only from the company itself, but also from its employees and customers. Through various channels, I was able to gain a clear sense of CADDi’s mission, values, and the personalities and passions of the people behind them. It was clear that everyone was working with energy, enthusiasm, and a sense of mutual support. I strongly felt that I wanted to be part of that kind of environment. Now that I’ve joined, I feel every day that my instincts were right.
The third reason is more personal: I’ve always had a fascination with “technical drawings.” I’ve enjoyed looking at blueprints, structural diagrams of vehicles, cross-sectional views, and more. Back in school, I even chose mechanical drafting as an elective purely out of personal interest. While CADDi Drawer isn’t just a system for managing drawings, its goal is to enable the effective use of all kinds of drawing-related data and processes. I felt that this would allow me to engage in work I truly care about, something I could dedicate myself to while imagining how those drawings could come to life and be used in the real world.

What you have done/you are doing at CADDi

Since joining CADDi, I have been working on QA for CADDi DRAWER, a SaaS product that enables the effective use of manufacturing drawings, as part of the Enabling QA team.
My responsibilities go beyond just test design and execution. I focus on building mechanisms that define and continuously improve the optimal level of quality for CADDi Drawer, in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders. To drive quality improvements, it's essential to identify and categorize the root causes of incidents and defects, and to reduce the likelihood of their occurrence. I aim to establish and promote clear processes within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), clarifying who should take what actions and at which stage in order to ensure and enhance product quality.

What’s Challenging and Exciting About Being an Engineer at CADDi

CADDi Drawer handles highly confidential information in the form of technical drawings, which are critical assets for our customers. For the companies that have adopted our product, it serves as a key part of their operational infrastructure. Because of this, we must ensure high levels of stability, security, and performance, in other words, non-functional requirements must be met at a very high standard.
At the same time, since the product is still relatively new, there is also strong demand to deliver new features quickly and continuously.
Balancing development speed with the need to maintain quality, especially reliability, is undoubtedly challenging, but I see it as an extremely valuable opportunity to grow my technical skills as an engineer. At CADDi, everyone shares a strong sense of ownership when it comes to product quality. There is a shared mindset that quality is a collective responsibility, and I’m confident that this culture will enable us to overcome even the toughest challenges.

What are your hobbies and how do you spend your days off?

I love music and often go to live jazz performances and concerts. I also enjoy visiting patisseries and cafés to try different kinds of sweets, especially pudding, which is my favorite. Sometimes I go on these outings with my daughter, who’s in junior high school, and as a father, I couldn’t be happier.
As for outdoor activities, I recently got back into skiing after a long break, thanks to a friend who invited me to go. It's been great to reconnect with the sport.
