Why you joined CADDi

I joined CADDi shortly after moving to Japan, and it stood out as a great opportunity to continue working on impactful engineering challenges while settling into a new country. The company’s strong engineering focus, use of modern technologies, and the chance to lead the Workflow Engine Core Team made it an exciting next step.
CADDi’s remote work flexibility has made the transition smoother, and while the company is still evolving toward a fully English-speaking culture, that effort has been encouraging and important for me as someone who doesn’t speak Japanese very well.

What you have done/you are doing at CADDi

I’m still relatively new at CADDi, but I’ve quickly taken on the role of Team Lead for the Workflow Engine Core Team. Since joining, I’ve focused on understanding the existing architecture, aligning with stakeholders, and helping define the technical direction of the platform.
I’m currently working on setting the future roadmap, improving team processes, and guiding the team toward building a more scalable and maintainable system. It’s been a fast-paced and rewarding start.

What CADDi's Engineers are trying to innovate

Working at CADDi is both challenging and exciting because we're tackling a unique problem space in manufacturing and supply chain digitization—an area that hasn’t seen much innovation compared to other industries. This brings a lot of open-ended technical and product challenges, with no clear playbook to follow.
At the same time, we're using a modern tech stack and exploring scalable architectures, which keeps the engineering work technically stimulating. The mix of solving novel problems and working with cutting-edge technologies makes each day genuinely engaging.
