Why you joined CADDi
At my previous jobs in startups, I was able to create products and teams from 0->1. Moving to CADDi was one step above in terms of scale. I also had other offers paying more money, but my alignment was first focussed on creating a career path that leads to my ambition. I had known about CADDi for about a year and a half and but had not enough confidence about the domain in general. After getting into the process, I liked interacting with the team members openly. I was impressed by company’s strategy (growing funding and customers)
I know that tackling any challenge through technology is doable but building a successful service that impacts many is difficult, but CADDi had some sucess at this stage.
I decided to join because I could see that everyone at CADDi is genuinely dedicated to solving challenges in the manufacturing industry. And there is enough autonomy given to the employees so that they can work in a creative and collaborative manner. The growth trajectory also look viable and achievable so it can be a good experience for my career.
What you have done/you are doing at CADDi
I joined CADDi as the Eng manager for Work Flow Engine team under platform division. My focus is on aligning goals set by upper management and make information related to such goals available to all team members. There is also the aspect of creating a powerful and dynamic team that can take on existing and new challenges. I would contribute to improved efficiency in engineering team and increase cross team collaboration by leveraging information sharing.
I also hope to lead bigger (multiple) teams, if given an opportunity.
How CADDi's Engineers drive Innovation
I think the problem solving mindset is evident in most of the engineers I have interacted with so far. They are passionate about the problem statement. And hence produce amazing solutions. It is still early days but I might find more insights about this with time.
What are your hobbies and how do you spend your days off?
I enjoy most of the time with my family, especially my daughter. Ii like sports and fitness so i go for cricket, futsal, cycling, snowboarding, hiking etc. i make my daughter try many sports as well. She is learning swimming right now. I also like reading books, so I prefer to go to library to avoid distractions. Some times my daughter also goes with me. We read picture books and she enjoys my silly story telling (I think so)
